THE HISTORY OF TEA
MAKING TEA
The first Ceylon tea estate was created in 1876 by James Taylor, who has become the acknowledged father of Ceylon Tea. Since then, this "Green Gold" botanically known as Camellia Sinensis, has earned international acclaim.
Loose leaf, prepared correctly, will always produce a better cup of tea than a tea bag.
*  Use two heaped 5m/l teaspoons of tea for a standard sized pot.

*  Pour Freshly boiled water into the pot.

*  Allow tea to stand for up to 5mins.,remembering that the longer it stands, the stronger will be the brew.

*  Finally, stir the tea and allow to settle before pouring.
An area of 1000 square miles of tea plantation reaches up to 6000 feet above sea level in the misty central hills of Sri Lanka.

The island now produces 225 million kilos of fine tea every year which continues to be enjoyed throughout the world.
